Recovery Tools

If you’re a frequent class taker at Body One, then you know we go hard in our workouts. We strive to give it our all in every workout. However, we don’t forget about proper recovery and making sure we take care of our bodies after the workout. Typically we do some sort of cool down at the end but there are also other ways of recovery, such as myofascial release tools.

So what we did was create a list of the most popular ones for you to be able to do your research and determine which is the right one for you!

Percussive Tools:

Theragun - In that link you’ll see the comparison of all the Theragun percussive products. The biggest difference between all of them is the pressure weight capacity, amount of attachments, ergonomic handles, and battery life. Theragun also has an app in which it can help make suggestions based on your activity and muscle patterns.

Hypervolt - The main differences between Hypervolt and Theragun are the price point, attachment type, and amount of tools sold by each company. The Hypervolt’s attachment head is more flat and smooth whereas the Theragun has a lot more trigger point/deep reaching attachments.

Non-percussive Tools:

Lacrosse Ball - The lacrosse ball allows the user to pin point directly into certain muscles to relieve muscle tension by using their body weight adjusting the pressure actively and passively as needed. The ball also gives you freedom to move about a range of motion while massaging the muscle.

Foam Roller - The foam roller allows the user to massage deep into a broader area of muscle by leveraging other parts of the body to create more pressure.
